AIMS
The aims of the teaching programme are to provide
delegates with the skills to achieve excellent aesthetics
and very high success rates.
ACCREDITATION
The teaching programme is accredited for 65.5 hours
by the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, The Royal
College of Surgeons for DGDP (UK) and MGDS RCS.
LIVE SURGICAL DEMONSTRATIONS
There will be live surgical sessions within the teaching
programme to demonstrate the placement and exposure of implants.
A special emphasis will be placed on soft tissue management
which is critical to the aesthetic result.
PRACTICAL SESSIONS - SURGICAL
The programme has a very practical approach. Over
the past 15 years we have evolved and refined several surgical
exercises on animal heads involving the placement of implants
and addressing hard and soft tissue management.
TREATMENT PLANNING SESSIONS
There are interactive exercises dedicated to treatment
planning involving the interpretation of CT Scans, Simplant
and diagnostic models. This enables delegates to accurately
assess patients and propose effective treatment plans that
can be brought to a satisfactory conclusion.
SUPERVISED SURGERY
Finally, one of the aims of the programme is to provide
an environment where delegates can place implants for their
own patients. This is carried out under supervision on a one
to one basis with the support of a fully trained implant team.
